Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

Call SERVPRO of Miami Beach to Fight Damage from Candle Fires.

Fires caused by candles happen all over the U.S. every single day. At SERVPRO® of Miami Beach, our teams are ready to assess smoke and fire damage and help you through the restoration process.

SERVPRO of Miami Beach: Franchise Professionals

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has reported:

  • An average of 24 candle fires in United States homes every day, which is…
  • 8,690 house fires a year
  • $295 million in direct property damage
  • In 16% of the fires, no one was paying attention to the candle, including,
  • 11% of the fires happened when people were asleep in the room where the candle was burning

Because even small fires can cause major damage, insurance companies usually pay for remediation and restoration only when professionals, like SERVPRO of Miami Beach, do the work.

Our emergency services are always available – always.

Call us at 305-532-5411 as soon as you can.

Timing is Critical

Smoke damage and other kinds of fire-related damage are serious, and they keep getting worse over time; we’re talking about hours, not months.

Depending on what was burned, the smoke residue can range in its effects from mild to severe, with “mild” effects coming from items burned at extremely high temperatures, not usually found in residential fires.

At the other extreme, protein residue may not even show up immediately. Smoke from food or animal products (such as wool or leather) will continue to damage materials until it is removed by people who (a) know how to find the damage, (b) have the equipment and training to remove it without harming the surface, and (c) can do the work without harming themselves or others.

Faster to Any Size Disaster

Because time is critical, we stand by our motto (one of our mottoes) to be “Faster to any size disaster”.

You probably noticed we have several mottos. They’re part of who we are and how operate.

  1. Locally Owned and Operated
  2. Faster to Any Size Disaster
  3. Like it never even happened.

We’re a local company (#1) which means we don’t have to schedule appointments through a central office in another state. Therefore, we can get to your emergency as quickly as is practical (#2). Because we live here, we don’t look down on small jobs (#s 1 and 2); we care just as much about your condo as we do about a mansion. We can attend to county-wide disasters (#2) if necessary because we have access to national resources. Regardless of the job, we have the training and the experience to help restore your property to its preloss condition (#3).

Time for Trivia!

The Committee for Unneeded to Know decided to focus on trumpets this week, and we could not persuade them to tell us why. We suspect they don’t know.

Trumpets:

  • Date back to 1500 B.C.E. or earlier
  • Have the highest register of all the brass instruments
  • Were found in tombs in ancient Egypt, China, Peru, Rome, and Scandinavia
